What is a task model?

Task models in Artificial Intelligence (AI) represent the way a specific task or a set of tasks should be performed. It is used to breakdown complex tasks into simpler sub-tasks, providing a detailed structure of how the goal of an AI system should be achieved.

Task models allow the AI system or agent to understand what steps need to be carried out, in what order and under what conditions. They can refer to different activities such as decision-making, problem-solving, learning, and perception among others.

In more complex systems like Multi-agent Systems (MAS), task models can help in coordinating the roles and responsibilities of different agents in various tasks.

This concept is used extensively in AI research and development to design and build more efficient systems. Task models serve as a blueprint for developing AI algorithms suited for specific tasks.
