November wrap-up | Agentic innovation in action
By Jon Taylor on November 28, 2025Debenhams Group and Peak collaborate on cutting-edge AI to stay ahead of holiday demand.
As the Golden Quarter gets underway, Debenhams Group — home to PrettyLittleThing, boohoo, boohooMAN, Karen Millen and Debenhams — has introduced Peak’s brand new Agentic Merchandising solution to help manage sales, stock and pricing more effectively across its portfolio of brands.
By combining information on stock, pricing and promotions, it gives teams a clearer view of demand and performance, helping them respond quickly as shopping patterns shift through the season.
Having initially partnered with Peak back in June, the new agentic AI solution is the latest step in Debenhams Group’s investment in innovation to improve efficiency and agility. It can predict and guide decisions, and act on them autonomously, saving the merchandising team time each month and increasing the speed and accuracy of decision making across brands.
By providing teams with better insights and enabling more timely decisions, the approach is helping to strengthen planning and coordination across the Group in the run-up to Black Friday and the festive shopping season.

Meet the superhumans: the merchandiser
Merchandisers have always been the heartbeat of retail. They balance what to buy, how much to stock, where to send it and when to mark it down. For years, they’ve done it with static spreadsheets, disconnected systems and instinct‑based forecasts; the result was long days spent reacting to changes that had already happened.
With agentic AI, that’s changed: intelligent agents predict demand, optimize inventory and autonomously execute reorders and markdowns in real time. The result? Superhuman merchandisers who spend less time firefighting and more time on strategy, placing products in the right place, at the right time, at the right price.

How will agentic AI transform retail pricing and inventory?
Agentic AI is redefining how retailers manage pricing, replenishment and inventory decision making. Traditional retail still relies heavily on spreadsheets, intuition and fixed planning cycles, where pricing, ordering and markdown decisions happen weekly or even monthly.
Agentic AI fundamentally changes this.
Instead of simply forecasting demand, it takes action in real time. It continuously monitors every SKU, predicts demand shifts, identifies risks such as overstock and stockouts, and can automatically recommend and execute orders and price adjustments. All of this happens within predefined commercial rules and governance frameworks.
Our Retail Director, Tom Summerfield, has shared what the agentic era means for the future of retail in his brand new thought leadership series on the UiPath blog. You can check out the first article now, with three more to come in the coming weeks.

How AI helps food companies cut waste
Consumers want cleaner, preservative‑free foods, but shorter shelf lives create a big challenge for supply chains. AI-driven demand forecasting and inventory management, including autonomous “agentic AI,” allows companies to dynamically optimize production, distribution, and stock levels. The result? Fresher products, less waste and smarter operations. Read more in this article from our Manufacturing Director, William Dutton, in Food Logistics.
